This is my first film review on here, or just my first review ever.
First off, not only this movie, but the MBBF show too have unleashed my neurodivergent traits, as i'm autistic. Secondly, Duvi Dudum, the main antagonist for this film, is perfect, and i mean PERFECT & SPOT ON with goofy ahh goober tactics of trying to separate the kids from their Big Big Friends. It's like he's a Saturday morning cartoon character from the 30s, 40s or even the 50s, like Bugs Bunny, or Tom & Jerry or example. He's just that amazing for the most autistic parts of my brain.
Thirdly, the songs were incredible to listen to, especially We Can Sing Where Art Makes, Always Follow Your Dreams, Nobody Will Separate Us and The Doodle Doubt Song! They were all pretty good, i even tried singing along. I know the Portuguese language, but not enough to actually sing along.
The story is also interestingly nice too. It's about how Yuri, Lili and Matt get ready for a very special day. But their dreams go down the drain when they discover that the parents have changed their plans and are now going to an excursion to have a short trip in a summer camp together, with several children they haven't seen before. That's where they decide to escape to a fantastic place where Duvi Dudum lives, a strange, but fun creature who wants to have all the Buddies to himself and ends up distracting the children and taking Golias, Nessa and Bongo to a distant island where he hides many other Buddies, a rhino, an ostrich, a panda, a walrus, a jaguar, a hippo, a tamandua and a crocodile. Yuri, Lili and Matt then must join forces and embark on a journey full of adventure and mystery to save them.
Overall, i loved this movie, start to finish! I actually recommend it. It's pretty good. 10/10 would watch again, i'm looking forward to the English dub coming out. You can watch it without being in a theater here.
